COVID-19: Business Exemption and Continuity
Published: March 25, 2020
Dear Valued Partner,
As everyone is aware, the County of Harris issued an order for the closing of all Non-Essential Businesses and a “Stay at Home” policy for all its citizens.
While the “Stay at Home” orders being issued generally require people to remain at their homes and businesses to temporarily close their doors, certain essential businesses are exempt from this order. Those essential businesses are permitted by relevant federal, state and local authorities to remain operational in efforts to provide continual support within the supply chain for specific market sectors.
With respect to the identification of those “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” as listed by the U.S Department of Homeland Security from the Office of the Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) letter dated March 19, 2020 under their attachment titled Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce: Ensuring Community and National Resilience in COVID-19 Response, dated March 23, 2020 Version 1.1, Chemjet, Inc. qualifies as an “essential” business as described therein. Specifically, as identified under the following sectors: “Transportation and Logistics”, “Critical Manufacturing” and “Chemical”, due to Chemjet’s direct involvement in the manufacturing and processes within the core supply chain of the Oil and Gas, Water Treatment, Agriculture and Chemical markets. Accordingly, Chemjet’s manufacturing facilities remain open for business.
Our management team continues to monitor credible, official sources such as the local government health department, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) daily. Our team also continues to conduct frequent management meetings to discuss the safety and wellbeing of our employees while implementing numerous safeguards to minimize risks to everyone’s health as well as potential disruptions in our business that could potentially affect our customers. We do anticipate lead times may become stretched due to the limitations within the transportation sector as well as other global restrictions affecting imports from other countries. Therefore, we are asking our customers to please plan accordingly and take this potential disruption into account.
Thank you for your business and understanding.
From our Chemjet families to yours, we wish everyone safety and good health through this current, global pandemic we are all experiencing. One team, one fight!

COVID-19: Customer Letter
Published: March 13, 2020
To our customers,
We are all aware of the ongoing issues with the COVID-19 coronavirus and the challenges it creates. All of us at Chemjet are very sympathetic and understanding to those who may be affected by this virus. We want to personally reach out to our valued customers and update you on the actions that Chemjet is taking to help prevent the spread of the virus. We continue to closely monitor the ongoing COVID-19 situation to ensure we take all necessary steps to protect the health and safety of our customers, team members, and communities.
We are following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, as well as guidance from federal, state and local officials, to make informed decisions. We are fortunate that we currently have no reported team member or customer cases and our facilities remain open for business. At this time, we feel confident we can continue to operate our facilities with little disruption. We will utilize our website and social media outlets (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter) for updates as required. Please click the links and follow us to ensure you receive update notifications. We also encourage our customers and suppliers to stay up to date by following credible, official sources like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and your local government health department so you can respond quickly to changes that could affect you or your customers. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to the recommended prevention methods.
We also wanted to share some additional information about the actions that Chemjet has implemented in response to COVID-19:
- Our employees have been mandated to stay home if they are sick, and we’re adjusting our paid time off policy so team members have every opportunity to seek medical attention if needed.
- Chemjet is contracting professional, third-party cleaning services to routinely clean our offices. These scheduled cleanings will use approved disinfectants to clean high-traffic areas and restrooms.
- We have the appropriate leadership team constantly monitoring and meeting regularly to review the situation as well as meeting with our operation team members at our facilities.
- We have suspended travel to high-risk areas.
This situation is a serious matter that requires everyone to stay calm and use sound judgment as we work our way through it together. Individual caution and good hygiene habits are important actions anyone can take to reduce the risk to COVID-19. Therefore, in addition to this letter, we have included a four-page guide retrieved from the cdc.gov website (coronavirus.gov).
We thank you for being a loyal customer of Chemjet and appreciate your understanding as we all work through this difficult time.
